AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To impart quality education enabling the pupils to keep abreast of the times.
  • To provide a comprehensive education so as to develop in the children a sound character and good personality.
  • To mould children with a keen sense of discipline, responsibility, initiative, integrity, self-confidence, self-esteem and positive self-image.
  • To impart sound religious and moral education so as to uphold moral values in life.
  • To ensure sound physical and intellectual development.
  • To help each child with emotional responses, to adjust to necessary changes and to overcome obstacles.
  • To help each child to respect the rights and privileges of others and their points of view.

ADMISSION

The nursery is open to children aged 3+ as on the year of admission. Attested copies of SSMID, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate, Birth Certificate and three Passport size photographs to be submitted. The Registration Forms for nursery are issued in the month of February.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE RULES

  • Students are advised to take bath every morning.
  • Boys hair should be trimmed short with short trimmed nails.
  • Girl's hair should be free from lice and should have short trimmed nails without nail polish.
  • Hands to be washed before and after eating. A habit of bringing clean napkins to be developed

ADMINISTERING MEDICATION

If medication is to be administered at the school, kindly mention it in the handbook along with the correct dosage and time. If not, medicine will not be given to your child.

Students suffering from any contagious or infectious diseases will not be permitted to attend school. If your child is ill, we urge you to keep him/her at home as rest will help in a quick and complete recovery. If minor accidents, scraped knee etc occur it shall be reported in the handbook by the class teacher. Kindly inform school authorities in case of any history of major diseases/long term medication.

FOOD AND SNACKS

  • Parents are responsible for providing nutritious food for lunch.
  • Parents need be mindful of appropriate child-size portions.
  • Uneaten food will be returned home so parents may guage the child’s true lunch needs.
  • Children should bring lunch afternoon snacks and water to school each day. Lunch box should be labelled and wrapped neatly in a napkin.
  • Please do not send sweets with plastic wrappers to school. If brought, will be sent back, as St. Mary’s Convent School Campus is a plastic free zone.
  • Students are strictly prohibitted from bringing junk food and aerated drinks into the school campus.
